Trauma comes in all shapes and sizes. You may be a survivor of repeated exposures to trauma, or it may have been a single life-altering event. However the stress and memories stay with you, it is necessary to have a trauma-informed, trained, and experienced therapist to ensure your safety as you work through what has been weighing you down. I take an empowerment approach at your pace to assist you in writing the rest of your story.

Neurodivergence in Children and Adults

Whether it is undiagnosed but suspected, following a recent diagnosis, continued difficulties from a long-standing awareness, or you are a family member or spouse of a neurodivergent person. I am experienced and informed in navigating the complicated, diverse, and often beautiful intricacies of neurodivergence. I take a strengths-based, realistic, systemic approach to help you achieve your goals.

Difficulties with emotions are common. How we have witnessed, been taught, and learned to be with our emotions can directly impact our ability to emotionally regulate. This often leads to problems in relationships or at work, can impact your ability to function, and through it all, you struggle to get your underlying need met. Abuse and Neglect

Abuse and neglect encompass emotional, mental, physical, financial, sexual, discriminatory, institutional, or domestic violence, cruelty, coercion, and/or harm. They change the way our brain and body work. Skew our understanding of relationships, harm our ability to assess and respond to danger, and model an unhealthy way of being in the world. I am passionate about assisting you in processing not only your past experiences but build a meaningful, fulfilling life that you are excited to live.

Guilt, Shame, and Sense of Self

Shame, guilt, and issues with self-esteem or self-confidence can be, but aren't always related. Each one influences our thoughts, feelings, and beliefs about ourselves, others, and the world around us, and consequently, they impact the depth and richness we are able to develop in relationships. Whether your shame or guilt is founded in past action taken by you or a reaction to experiences with another, the pain behind your beliefs deserves to be held and processed in a safe, accepting space.
